UUpdates aggregates the latest content from Unitarian Universalist syndicated web sites.
This site has a few basic purposes:
- Provide Feed Aggregation pulling together all the updates from all the UU sites so that people have a place to get all the latest items of interest.
- List Unitarian Universalist Syndicated Sites for those who have a preferred feed reader this site will provide a list of sites that can be added to the reader of their choice. Each time a new site is added to the list tracked by UUpdates the site will appear in the new site list and in a RSS feed of new sites.
- Syndicate the Aggregate Updates for those who have a preferred feed reader they can add UUpdates as one feed with all the updates.
- Bring UUpdates to your web page for webmasters who don't want to set up their own feed aggregation, but still want the updates from UU sites to appear on their page I have Webmaster Tools for building custom RSS and JavaScripts to use.

What this Site is Not
- This is not an official site of the Unitarian Universalist Association, nor are the opinions expressed endorsed by any official UU organization. Heck, read enough blogs and you will even find contradicting opinions.
- The site is not funded. There is no grant or organization that helps to pay the hosting fees for the site. If you are interested in helping contribute to keep the site running please visit the donations page.
About The Technology
If you are interested in the technology here is a rundown of some of the technology behind the site:
- Powered by Yii Framework. — I evaluated a bunch of different frameworks, and this one was a clear winner. For a custom PHP site this is a very strong choice.
- Zurb's Foundation framework — In order to make the site more mobile friendly I built it with a freakishly advanced framework.
- SimplePie — in the latest release not much changed with SimplePie's usage, but then again it has been rock solid for a while, so it doesn't need to.
- Font Awesome a font that lives up to it's name. I always hated designing with image editors and was so happy to find a great way to style pages with images that can be easily scaled and where it was trivial to change the colors.
